Richard Gotterer, CFP®

Senior Vice President, Senior Wealth Advisor

Richard Gotterer is responsible for managing investment portfolios for institutional, endowment, foundation and high net worth families. Working with other members of the team, Richard maintains relationships with core centers of influence, meets with prospective clients, and implements the firm’s wealth management strategies and services. He joined the firm in 2015 and has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to joining Calamos, Richard served as the Chief Investment Officer at Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust, was a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Schroder Investment Management, and a Financial Analyst at Oppenheimer & Co. Most recently, he was a Managing Director/Florida at Wescott Financial Advisory Group, LLC.

Richard received a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from American University. He is a Certified Financial Planner® and has a Series 65 license. Richard has been frequently quoted in national publications and has written numerous articles on wealth management, investment management and estate planning. Richard is very active in the Jewish community and has been a member of several congregations in South Florida. He is a past Vice President of the Bet Shira Congregation Endowment and chaired its Investment Committee. Additionally, he is member of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, Financial Planning Association and the Coral Gables/South Dade Estate Planning Council.
