News: CWM Announces Three New Investment Team Members

Rob Young, Dimitar Tanchev and Daniel Gross join dedicated team focused on investment planning and execution.

Naperville, Ill., December 12, 2019 — Calamos Wealth Management, a full-service wealth advisory firm serving individuals and families, announced three additions to its Investment Team. Rob Young, CFA, joins as a Strategy & Analytics Specialist, while Dimitar Tanchev, CFA, and Daniel Gross join as Portfolio and Implementation Specialists.

Young, Tanchev and Gross are based from the firm’s headquarters location in Naperville, Illinois.  They work closely with Calamos Wealth Management advisors both there and at the firm’s offices in Florida and New York to develop, execute and monitor investment allocation strategies on behalf of the firm’s clientele.

Rob Young previously served as portfolio manager and investment committee member at Colorado-based ICON Advisers. He managed three of the firm’s investment portfolios, including those focused on emerging markets, industrials and natural resources. Young was instrumental in developing factor reporting to illustrate portfolio trends over time. His experience at ICON Advisers—as well as prior employers D.A. Davidson and Wm Smith & Co.—also includes extensive risk and performance analysis and client reporting. In 2005, Young earned an M.B.A. from the University of Denver, where he previously earned a bachelor’s degree in business and was an Academic All-American as a member of the school’s Division I men’s swim team.

Dimitar Tanchev previously served as senior trading operations analyst at NextCapital in Chicago. His experience there and earlier in his career at Chicago-based Cedar Capital and Tower Hill Trading includes extensive daily equity trading, portfolio evaluation and portfolio management. Over the course of his career he has developed a concentration in ETF trading, analysis and evaluation. A graduate of Rockford University’s M.B.A. program in 2007, Tanchev also earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and French from the same university with distinction as a member of Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society.  

Daniel Gross brings research and reporting skills honed as a research associate at Calamos Investments and, previously, as a reporting analyst with BMO Harris Bank, where he was responsible for delivering clear and actionable insights about business forecasts, results and processes. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Iowa in 2016.
